Bahraini filmmaker, Mohamed Rashed Buali initially trained as a legal professional with expertise ranging from commercial to Entertainment law while his foray into the filmmaking world has accelerated at a rapid pace since he produced his first short film in 2006. Today, overseeing the production of his second feature film, which was nominated for the IWC Schaffhausen Filmmaker Award in his third overall nominations,the acclaimed director who has won many awards for his work in the culture and entertainment over the past 12 years including the Golden Lion for the 12th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia 2010. A charismatic and hardworking leader, his empathy and artistic appreciation have earned him wide recognition both amongst his peers and observers. The self-made director, Mohammed avidly follows contemporary expertise and regularly attends filmmaking master classes around the world which led by legendary figures including Abbas Kiarostami, Jia Zhangke and Asghar Farhadi. An Alumnus of the Asian Film Academy and Berlin Talent campus, he has won the British Council Young Creative Entrepreneur Award as well as the Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Creativity Award.
